THE BRIEF

National award-winning family-run business, Bisinella Developments is one of the largest local residential and industrial developers in the City of Greater Geelong, generating a significant share of investment and jobs in the region. 

Bisinella wanted proactive media support for their new industrial factory site in Geelong, set to create 100 local jobs, including leveraging a visit by the Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Member for Corio Hon Richard Marles MP.

OUR APPROACH

Spoke created, developed, and pitched the media opportunity at Bisinella’s industrial factory site to local, state, and national media outlets. The aim was to highlight Bisinella’s dedication to the Geelong community and the creation of local job opportunities. 

To generate maximum awareness and coverage, the campaign consisted of: 

  • Drafting a media release that ties the significance of the event to how the new industrial site will enhance Geelong’s infrastructure and expand opportunities for local businesses 
  • Developing extensive targeted media hit list and crafting a tight pitch, using key messages, to attract media interest 
  • Proactive stakeholder management with DPM Richard Marles’ office in the lead up to media event  
  • Organising and coordinating on-the-ground talent and vision capture 
  • Developing an attractive “media kit”” consisting of compelling content and imagery for distribution to media pre and post-event for journalists who could not attend the media opportunity 

 

To maintain the momentum after the announcement, Spoke ensured a steady flow of news across Bisinella’s online channels, including social media and email blasts, to further amplify the story. 

THE RESULTS

  • Secured extensive media coverage across newspaper, and online, reaching a total audience of more than 15 million  
  • Reinforced Bisinella as a leader in industrial development and job creation in the Geelong community  
  • Developed rapport with key media contacts in a primary location for Bisinella Developments 
  • Published coverage on Bisinella Developments social media channels, which resulted in significantly increased engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. This included a 167% increase in interactions on Facebook, a 1500% rise in LinkedIn followers, and a 358% increase in active engagement on Instagram with Bisinella’s content.
