THE BRIEF

Create opportunities with capital markets for Winsome Resources to connect and engage with Melbourne and Sydney based contacts. The purpose was to strategically engage a group of high caliber new investors following a series of recent positive exploration announcements, setting the platform for an actual capital raise in the coming weeks.

The roadshow was bookended with two exclusive shareholder events giving direct access to the Company Managing Director Chris Evans, who provided a real-time presentation and answered a live Q&A.  Winsome wanted to make a splash in the market with strong, compelling key messages, a clean and professional contemporary looking brand, as well as increasing its own network and book of potential investors.

As interest and demand in Winsome continues to grow, an opportunity emerged to amplify its brand even further while also enhancing its engagement with shareholders and investors. Using Spoke’s newest communications software, it was recommended for Winsome to host its own branded and controlled investor webinar.

OUR APPROACH

  • End to end the entire roadshow took approximately five-weeks to complete – from planning the logistics, to identifying relevant contacts to approach, to confirm the schedule and then implementing the campaign
  • Sessions were scheduled for an average of 45 minute blocks – with 1.5 days dedicated to meetings and the shareholder event in both capital cities
  • The design and layout of the Company’s core marketing assets were refreshed – the investment presentation and A4 investor fact sheet
  • Once a list of targeted were identified – produced in collaboration with Winsome’s lead broker Canaccord Sydney– combination of calls and emails were undertaken
  • Event planning for the two shareholder gathers were organised in the hotel private dining and function area – this made logistics simpler to manage on the day while importantly both venues were contemporary
  • In addition, Spoke develop a media briefing campaign to approach relevant business and financial journalists with an opportunity to meet with the Company MD Chris Evans
  • Content captured on the road and used to communicate across social media platforms were well received giving shareholders a glimpse into the operations and confidence in the management team

THE RESULTS

  • Total of 16 meetings and briefings over 2 days were successful completed in Melbourne and Sydney
  • Interview secured and completed with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) – Sydney desk
  • A combined total of 43 shareholders attended both events in Sydney and Melbourne
  • Alignment and unity across all key marketing assets – presentation, fact sheet and WSJ interview
  • Share price increase from 47 cents per share to above a $1 during the interstate roadshow
  • Winsome ultimately set the scene well and successfully went on to raise AU$52m in the coming weeks
