Winsome Resources (WR1) – Media Campaign

THE BRIEF

Winsome Resources (ASX:WR1) is a Perth-headquartered lithium explorer and developer with multiple prospective projects in the James Bay region of Quebec. In December 2023, Winsome declared a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its flagship Adina Lithium Project, with the figure anticipated to place the project in the top five largest lithium resources in North America.

Given the significance of the ASX announcement, Spoke developed an extensive, multi-pronged media campaign to maximise coverage of both the magnitude of the MRE, and the Company as a leader in the global lithium exploration industry.

OUR APPROACH

SPOKE reviewed and provided edits to the ASX announcement and crafted key messages to attract media interest. The team identified 60 key journalists and media outlets in Australia, Canada and other international markets across print, broadcast, online and digital platforms. Spoke also captured and edited fresh headshots of Managing Director Chris Evans and collated images and videos of Adina for distribution to media.

On the morning the maiden MRE was declared, Spoke provided journalists with the ASX announcement, an extensive gallery of downloadable images and videos, and a link to Winsome’s live webinar later that morning. A downloadable version of the entire webinar was later issued to journalists who weren’t able to attend.

THE RESULTS

  • Secured extensive national and international media coverage reaching a total global audience of more than 304 million.
  • Media highlights included The Australian, Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, The West Australian, Yahoo Finance, The Market Herald and Stockhead.
  • Secured a record-breaking attendance of more than 240 people, including multiple journalists, for the live webinar conducted by Managing Director Chris Evans.
  • Solidified Winsome’s position as a world leading lithium exploration Company, holding one of the top five largest lithium resources in North America.
