The brief
As a trusted partner and member of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), Spoke was asked to assist in developing and executing an inaugural investor briefing in Adelaide.
Leveraging our expertise in event management, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and investor relations, Spoke was assigned a key role in ensuring the event’s success.
We established clear goals for the event, attracting a minimum of 50 attendees, with a significant proportion from financial services organisations. Additionally, we aimed to generate interest from AMEC members, creating demand for future investor events in Adelaide.
Our approach
- Spoke worked closely with AMEC to identify South Australian members to present their investment propositions, with seven companies ultimately selected.
- Our comprehensive approach to event management included the selection of an appropriate venue and meticulous event planning, ensuring both the scale and location aligned with the objectives of the briefing. We also focused on stakeholder engagement, ensuring the event attracted the right attendees and fostered meaningful connections.
- To enhance the value of the event,
- we introduced a partnership with the Adelaide team of financial services firm Canaccord Genuity Australia to provide additional event support.
- We offered presenters the opportunity to hone their presentation to ensure they resonated with the intended investor audience.
- To drive event registrations and attendance, we conducted extensive stakeholder engagement with Adelaide-based financial services professionals.
- We also provided advice and resources to market the event, including content creation, digital marketing, graphic design and photography/videography.
The results
- Spoke’s meticulous event management support ensured AMEC’s SA Investor Briefing was successfully launched in Adelaide, with the venue, location and timing perfectly aligned to AMEC’s objectives.
- The promotion and direct market outreach managed by Spoke attracted almost 60 attendees, with 50% representing the financial services sector.
- The content captured during the event proved invaluable for ongoing marketing, increasing awareness of the event and presenting member companies, as well as showcasing investment opportunities in the South Australian market.
- The collaboration between Spoke, AMEC, and Canaccord Genuity Australia was a key driver in delivering a successful event.
- The briefing generated immediate demand for similar events, with South Australian AMEC members eager to present at the next event.
- The event surpassed AMEC’s expectations, paving the way for another SA Investor Briefing to be scheduled in Adelaide in September 2025.
