It’s been a week since Diggers and Dealers 2023 took hold of Kalgoorlie for the 32nd year, enticing companies from across the world to the regional West Australian city. However, it was rising demand for critical minerals, increasing traction of automation and electrification, and last-minute changes to local cultural heritage laws that dominated discussion at the three-day forum, which saw more than 2,600 delegates pass through the doors of the Goldfields Arts Centre. The YIELD team was on the ground in Australia’s gold-mining capital, chatting with a range of industry experts for this bumper edition.
