THE BRIEF

TEDxPerth is an independently run organisation aligned to the globally renowned TED brand, dedicated to sharing Ideas Worth Spreading. The organisation engaged SPOKE. as its major media partner to develop and deliver a program to drive awareness and exposure of the return of its flagship event in April 2023 after a three-year hiatus.

The focus was to promote the event, develop compelling content and digital assets and facilitate event day activations that would increase awareness, engagement and build the organisation’s profile among local and national audiences.

OUR APPROACH

  • Deploy four media and digital content specialists to develop, implement and manage five targeted publicity and communication campaigns
  • Strategic media and stakeholder engagement to secure national and local news coverage
  • Create and produce engaging content and assets to enhance and amplify event announcements through digital platforms
  • Develop and deliver strategic stakeholder engagement initiatives targeting media, influencers and industry leaders in the community
  • Identify and craft captivating key messages to drive news flow and media engagement complimented with professional copywriting and editing
  • Manage and facilitate engaging event day activations through the delivery of a Q&A session and newsroom simulation

THE RESULTS

  • Secured extensive media exposure across more than 20 unique local and national media outlets – reaching a combined audience of over 14.2 million
  • Helped secure equal record attendance level of 1500 in a new venue
  • Produced engaging multimedia content highlighting the TEDxPerth brand and key leadership team to increase social media engagement in event lead up
  • Developed and produced 25 short videos and digital assets, for use across multiple channels, increasing digital presence and providing additional value to event participants
  • Delivered multiple successful event day activations engaging over 150 attendees through facilitated Q&A sessions and a simulated newsroom experience
  • Facilitated key introductions and advised on industry partnerships, securing additional promotion and media opportunities
