With a significant graphite deposit on the south coast of Western Australia and a dedicated battery anode facility in Collie on the way, International Graphite (ASX:IG6) is on track to become the first producer of battery anode graphite in the state. According to Managing Director Andrew Worland, global demand for graphite is on the rise as its benefits are realised in a variety of industries, including much-desired lithium-ion batteries needed for electric vehicles.
