Since our last edition the gold price soared to record levels, the YIELD. team hit the road to a Sydney mining and investor conference, the Federal Government dropped it’s second Budget in eight months, and the WA Premier his seventh, third since appointing himself Treasurer. So yes, a lot has been happening, and excitingly, YIELD. reporters have sourced some ripping stories to keep you informed in May.

This month roving YIELD. reporters LUKE DERBYSHIRE and MELISSA TEMPRA headed east to the RIU Sydney Resources Roundup, where they gauged a very buoyant investor outlook after a challenging start to 2023, at what was ultimately a record-breaking event in terms of attendance and demand.

Back at home, JOSH NYMAN interviewed the managing directors of two WA-based ASX-listed companies looking towards long-term development of their gold and battery metal discoveries in the Goldfields and Mid West respectively. Among metals discovered are gold, copper, cobalt, PGMs and more. Both offer unique small-cap space value propositions well linked to demand for minerals critical to decarbonisation through battery and hydrogen energy solution development.

A neat new employee-led program launched by WA Caterpillar® dealership WesTrac is put under the spotlight by MARISSA TADDEO, who attended its launch to learn more about how mental health support is being extended across the organisation with the assistance of partner Lifeline WA.

And this month YIELD. features an opinion-editorial penned by new General Manager of Corvus Technology Solutions NICK WILLIAMS, who shares his thoughts on how advanced defence manufacturers in Australia stand ready to deliver on the Federal Government’s Defence Strategic Review recommendations, released last month.

Plenty of fodder to chew on and if you like what you read, please share it with your network and encourage them to sign up for more of the same each month.
